Boil water notice lifted in Taylor AUSTIN (KXAN) — A boil water notice in Taylor was lifted Sunday afternoon, the city said. Taylor water customers in the upper-pressure plane were put under a boil water notice Saturday morning. The city said this was due to complications in a water main project. The city said test results sent to the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality showed the water is safe to drink and use as of Sunday. (NEWS10) — Over 400 folks participated in the 19th Annual Team Billy Ride and Walk for Research event in Saratoga Springs. Man armed with pickaxe arrested after standoff in Hollywood Hills A man was taken into custody late Saturday night, after he allegedly smashed the windows of multiple cars with a pickaxe or sledgehammer and then barricaded himself inside a home in the Hollywood Hills.The incident began around 11:10 p.m., when a neighbor called 911 after a man approached him armed with a weapon and then began damaging multiple cars.Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to the scene only to find the man had locked himself inside a home on the 3200 block of Primera Avenue and was refusing to surrender.A police SWAT team was called to the scene and tear gas was deployed inside the home to draw the man out. The man ultimately surrendered around midnight and authorities searched the property for additional weapons or evidence. Police said the motive is unclear at this time and the incident is under investigation.

Sonoma County: Sheriff’s wife arrested after allegedly driving into Santa Rosa home By Olivia Wynkoop | Bay City NewsThe spouse of Sonoma County Sheriff Eddie Engram was arrested Saturday for allegedly crashing her car into a Santa Rosa home while under the influence of alcohol, announced Engram on his Facebook page.Natasha Whittinghill, 47, allegedly drove her Tesla into the front of a home in the 5200 block of Beaumont Way at 12:51 a.m., according to Santa Rosa police. Before crashing into the home, the gray Tesla also hit a fence and a tree.A resident of the home, a woman in her 50s, suffered minor cuts from shards of glass from the crash, said police. She was later transported to a local hospital.Officers conducted a DUI investigation on the scene and determined that Whittinghill was driving under the influence, said police.
